Join The Camera Store for an analogue photography walk & talk with Chris Malloy and sponsored by Ilford Film. We are excited to have Chris leading this event and sharing his vast knowledge of shooting film. The day will start with a presentation and some tips about film photography, before embarking on a photowalk around Central Calgary. We will wrap up over lunch and further discussion about shooting and developing film. (Lunch is not included.)
The first 20 registered people to arrive will receive a free roll of Ilford 35mm film. We will have coffee and pastries first thing in the morning.
WHY CHOOSE ILFORD FILM
- Ilford’s black and white products enable the highest photographic quality, having been honed by 137 years of experience.
- They have a long tradition of commitment to black and white film photography.
- They manufacture to a consistently high standard.
- They retain the past, embrace the future and share their passion for black and white photography.
- Chris Malloy is a photographer who documents vignettes of the past found within the context of today’s landscape. His anachronistic scenes present human elements which are chronologically out of place in their environment. Drawing from the aesthetic of cinema, the cover of night brings a sense of quiet solitude to the images. Chris works with a combination of medium and large format film and digital imagery.
